AIA Denver Volunteer Opportunities
- Annual Awards Committee
This committee assists with the design, planning and implementation the AIA Denver Design Awards Gala, which recognizes outstanding architectural achievements in the Denver community. Open to all members. - Annual Golf Tournament Task Force
This committee organizes the Annual Golf Tournament, one of AIA Denver's largest fundraising events during which architects and industry sponsors can network and socialize. Open to all members. - Annual Conference Task Force
This task force is charged with assisting the planning and implementation of AIA Denver's one-day conference. - Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) Committee
The ARE committee organizes effective reviews sessions, where review topics are presented by professionals, for ARE candidates. Open to all members. - Box City Task Force
This commttee assists with the planning and implementation of AIA Denver's annual Box City for Kids event. - Committee on the Environment (COTE)
COTE promotes education, regarding the performance of buildings, to architects, design professionals and other groups involved with sustainability. - Continuing Education Committee
This is a new committee dedicated to providing quality, cutting-edge continuing education opportunities. - Diversity Committee
The newly-formed Diversity Committee addresses diversity issues relevant to AIA members and the profession, including diversity of race, gender, ethnicity and professional practice type. - Housing Committee
This is a forum for architects who specialize in residential building, by following current issues in codes, government regulations, evolving technology and current housing and marketing trends. Open to all members. - Local Government Network (LGN)
Local Government Network is a new task force which will provide local government advocacy efforts on behalf of the chapter, with a focus on policy issues affecting the City of Denver and other Metro municipalities. - Public Affairs Committee
The committee provides advocacy efforts and outreach on behalf of the chapter. The chair is the AIA Denver vice president and the chair-elect is the vice president-elect.

This committee focuses on growing into the role of "community resource" of expertise and assistance in the development designs involving local and regional urban issues.
