Intern Advocate Committee

The Intern Advocate Committee was established to address the needs of the architectural intern community in Colorado. These needs include help with navigation through the licensing process, dissemination of information pertinent to interns, fostering mentoring relationships, the organization of activities that educate interns and the organization of activities to help the community through volunteer efforts. Meetings take place during lunch the second Friday of every month in the AIA Colorado office. The committee is open to all members.

Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee works in conjunction with the University of Colorado at Denver College of Architecture and Planning (UCD) to foster mentorship and career development for potential and emerging architects. Programs include the mentoring network and fellows roundtables. The committee is open to all members. Meetings take place at 11:45 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month at the University of Colorado at Denver (1250 14th St., room 470, Denver, Colo. 80202).

National Associate Committee
The National Associates Committee (NAC) is dedicated to representing and advocating for associates, both mainstream and alternative, in the national, regional, state, and local components of the AIA.
Associate News
The AssociateNews is a monthly email newsletter by the National Associate Committee delivered to AIA Associates on the first Thursday of every month. It includes the latest information and events from around the country.
Forward
The Forward is a quarterly publication produced by the National Associates Committee to provide a voice for AIA Associates within the Institute. The Forward publications staff strives to inform the members about provocative issues facing the profession of architecture today. If you are interested in contributing, please send an e-mail to nac@aia.org.
ArchVoices
ArchVoices is an independent, nonprofit organization focused on architectural education, internship, and licensure. It exists to foster a culture of communication through the collection and dissemination of information and research.
More specifically, ArchVoices:
- publishes timely and relevant news, resources, and editorials;
- conducts annual surveys of the profession;
- compiles data and research on architecture and other licensed professions; and
- hosts regular conferences to stimulate and inform ongoing national discussions.
The articles are brief yet informative. Most topics provide links to other Web sites for additional information. To subscribe, send an email to archvoices-subscribe@egroups.com.
