The AIA Colorado 2008 Design Conference and Practice Management Symposium will take place Sept. 25-27 at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa.
The conference opens with the Practice Management Symposium on Thursday, Sept. 25. The symposium gives attendees the opportunity to learn practical skills for managing a design firm or business. In the past, Practice Management sessions have covered a wide range of topics, including marketing and sales, human resources issues, greening a design practice, leadership training, public speaking and effective design presentations. The Practice Management Symposium is a wonderful opportunity for young architects and interns to learn more about the business side of the architectural profession.
The Design Conference, on Sept. 26-27, will give attendees the opportunity to earn continuing education credits, mingle with other design industry professionals and attend exciting lectures, keynote presentations and breakout sessions. Past speakers have included Bruce Fowle, FAIA, Brian MacKay-Lyons, Hon. FAIA, Antoine Predock, FAIA, Michel Rojkind, Chris Widener, FAIA, Robin Ellerthrope, FAIA and John Eberhard, FAIA.
On Sept. 27, the design conference will culminate with the AIA Colorado 2008 Design Awards Gala. For more information about the gala, click here.
