The AIA Western Mountain Region and AIA Colorado 2009 Design Conference & Practice Management Symposium
The conference was held held Oct. 15-17, at the Keystone Resort and Conference Center (0633 Tennis Club Road, Keystone, CO 80435).
The conference will kicked off with the Practice Management Symposium on Thursday, Oct. 15. The intention of the symposium was to provide architects and professionals in the industry with practical tools to improve their everyday businesses. This year's program was a must-attend for emerging design and human resources professionals, small business owners and sole practitioners. Sessions focused on streamlining business practices and improving operational efficiency.The Design Conference took place Oct. 16-17. This year’s conference theme was Legacy Learning Leadership. FAIA, founding partner and principal of Behnisch Architekten (Stuttgart, Germany; Boston; Venice, Calif).- Bryan Yuji Walker, Practice Lead at IDEO (San Francisco)- Craig W. Hartman, FAIA, design partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) (San Francisco).- Ambassador Richard Swett, FAIA, president of Swett Associates, Inc. and former member of Congress (Concord, N.H.).Other conference highlights include the Host Chapter Soiree on the exhibit floor, prize drawings and the AIA Colorado and AIA Western Mountain Region 2009 Design Awards Galas.
