AIA Denver Housing Committee Meeting Facility Tour: Barvista Building Production Facility

Save to my calendarJoin the AIA Denver Housing Committee on Thursday, Feb. 25, from 9 – 10 a.m., for a facility tour of the Barvista Building Production Facility. The facility is located at 390 Mountain View Drive, Berthoud, Colo.). The Housing Committee will meet at 8:50 a.m. at the main entrance. To carpool, meet at Lowe’s in Northglenn at 8 a.m. (261 W. 104th Ave., Northglenn, Colo.).
Barvista is an off-site construction provider of single and multi-family homes and commercial buildings. Prefabricated off-site construction has traditionally been used for only select building components, while the majority of house and multi-family construction is completed on-site. The tour will provide an overview of how the process of whole-building off-site construction helps improve the efficiency of the building, controls costs, reduces construction waste and helps create more responsible projects.
Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA HSW sustainability continuing education learning unit. This program does not qualify for credit for the State of Colorado licensure renewal.
