AIA Colorado North Eat and Educate: Sustainable Design Strategies

Join AIA Colorado North from 12 – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, for Sustainable Design Strategies, an Eat and Educate presented by BCER Engineering, Inc. The program will take place in the 29th Street Mall Community Room, located between Borders and Yoga Pod, on the second level. (1710 29th Street, Boulder, CO 80301).
Attendees can earn 1.0 health, safety and welfare (HSW) AIA sustainability continuing education learning unit. Under the state of Colorado’s rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program meets the requirements for 1.0 HSW professional development hour.
This seminar addresses practical and cost effective MEP design concepts to achieve sustainability and LEED points, a brief review of the LEED rating system, utility rates and costs, energy modeling techniques, computational fluid dynamic modeling, simple payback and life cycle costing options and an overview of practical energy conservation measures applied to buildings located in the Rocky Mountain Region.
This program is free for all AIA Colorado members and lunch will be provided by BCER Engineering, Inc. Non-members seeking continuing education credit may attend for a fee of $20. Download a non-member registration form here.
