ADVOCACY

AIA Colorado is the voice of Colorado architects. One of our primary goals is to influence public policy that shapes the profession and the realm in which architects practice.

AIA member volunteers and staff advocate at the local, state and federal levels of government based on member-driven policies and positions. We have a standing Government Affairs Committee to delve into state policy issues. We also activate members to be grassroots champions locally, statewide and at the national level.

To stay up to date on the latest in government affairs, public policy and advocacy subscribe to the AIA Colorado Citizen Architect E-newsletter. Each month we’ll send you an update on current issues and legislation affecting our industry with links to opportunities for you to get involved.

The architecture profession is significantly influenced by elected officials and the actions they take. The Architects of Colorado Political Action Committee (ARCpac) and Architects of Colorado Small Donor Committee (ARCsdc) empower architects to play an active role in the election process and raise funds for that purpose. Both are used to collectively pool funds and donate to candidates who fight for issues of importance to Colorado architects.
