The firm was founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 1994, where we began a decade’s long mission to create architecture that transcends “pioneer nostalgia,” toward designing environments that connect to the exceptional natural context.
With a desire to expand our portfolio to include more public work in diverse environments, we opened a Denver office in 2012, where we designed a transformative epicurean market hall and hotel in a growing arts district. Through these projects and subsequent work, we continue to build upon a legacy of design integrity that has spurred the growth of the neighborhood.
The clarity of our mission allows each of our offices, with distinct abilities and project type expertise, to function as a single entity. Through unity of purpose, we design meaningful architecture, whether it be the precision of a private residence, attendance to a developer’s requisites, or community participation in public and institutional work. Our work has expanded beyond the western mountain region and has been acknowledged by publications as well as by more than fifty design awards.
