Join the Denver local advisors for an introduction and overview of the renovation of the historic 16th St Mall.
Stantec and Dig Studios will conduct a 20-minute introduction, followed by a walking tour to highlight the various stages of construction of the mall. The tour and presentation will focus on the various systems being introduced along this historic corridor to improve drainage, tree health, longevity of the paver system being implemented, and the overall urban design strategy. Plan to learn about the code strategies surrounding construction sites in a dense urban environment, improving the viability of the mall using modern technologies with respect to the historic nature of the street, and the long-term impacts of these improvements, both locally and more broadly.
Education: This tour has been approved for 1 LU|HSW.
Cost: Tour is free for AIA members and $25 for non-members.
