Architects’ Ski Day
March 13 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm MDT
Join AIA members for a day on the slopes, touring a variety of mountainside projects, followed by après happy hour.
Join AIA members and West Director Andi Korber, AIA, for a day on the slopes, informally touring a variety of projects located mountainside and in Snowmass Village, followed by après happy hour.
*Please note that you are responsible for purchase of your own lift ticket. SIngle day lift tickets can be purchased here.
Chat with Maura Trumble, AIA, 2024’s Young Architect of the Year, in between skiing and snowbaording laps while she leads us on informal tours of several projects CCY Architects have completed at Snowmass resort.
On-mountain:
- 9am – meet in Snowmass Base Village, near the bottom of the Village Express lift for a tour of Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center.
- 9:30am – head up Village Express lift to the top of Sam’s Knob, everyone is welcome to ski laps together from the Big Burn lift.
- 11am – we begin towards Alpine Springs lift. Then, we’ll ski to a couple of the Lost Lake Follies.
- 12pm – Take the gondola up to Elk Camp for lunch.
*These tours will be informal and will not offer education credit.
Off-mountain:
- 4pm – après at The Collective in Snowmass Base Village. All non-skiers are welcome to join!
Jon Bell, AIA Colorado’s Communcations Director, will provide his cell number to each skier who has RSVP’d in advance to help with coordination throughout the skiing portion of the day.
