Denver’s Affordable Housing Challenge: Celebration of Winning Projects

Join architects, developers, and City of Denver leaders for the unveiling of Denver Affordable Housing Challenge’s winning projects.
On Wednesday, December 10th, at 5pm, AIA Colorado and the City of Denver will host a celebration at the Denver Arts Complex (1245 Champa St.) to reveal the winning entries of the Denver Affordable Housing Challenge, an international ideas competition that has drawn hundreds of submissions from architects around the world.
The competition asked participants to explore how design excellence, sustainability, and affordability can work together to create innovative housing solutions specific to Denver’s context.
A distinguished jury composed of architects, affordable housing developers, City of Denver representatives, and City Council members has reviewed the entries. Winning entries will be rewarded from a $20,000 prize pool comprised of contributions from The City of Denver, AIA Colorado, and Buildner and include prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as well as Student Award and Sustainability Award, plus 6 honorable mentions.
WHEN: Wednesday, December 10, doors open at 4:30pm, event at 5pm
WHERE: Denver Arts Compex, 1245 Champa St. Denver, CO
PARKING: There is metered parking in front of the building. Please avoid parking on 13th street as that parking is designated for the Symphony, DCPA, and the Opera. Aside from the Convention Center parking garage which is directly across the street from the Champa Arts Building, there is the Arts Complex parking garage attached to the complex.
