Doors Open Denver (DOD) is the Denver Architectural Foundation’s (DAF) annual two-day event that inspires our community–residents and visitors alike–to create meaningful connections to the built environment and promoting quality design. Each spring, DAF provides opportunities to explore Denver through free, self-guided or fee-based, expert-guided tours of our city’s unique spaces, including high-profile, historic, and/or artistic feats of architecture and design. Doors Open Denver tells the story of where Denver is, where it has been, and where it’s going.
Doors Open Denver wouldn’t be possible without the help of volunteers. Volunteering over the weekend involves greeting, attendance tracking and providing information at open sites, shepherding our guided tours and ensuring the event’s success by being a friendly and knowledgeable face for attendees.
