Reaching New Heights

We hope you’ll join us for this unique Architecture Month event. The day will include a presentation, a member roundtable discussion and an awards gala. The presentation and member roundtable will be held at the CU Boulder Center for Innovation and Creativity. The awards gala requires a separate registration.

Drones for Architects (1 HSW)

This session will focus on how architects can use unmanned aerial vehicle technology within the architectural design process. Architects will learn the value of using drone technology to capture existing site conditions and terrain information during the conceptual design stage. This session will also discuss using drones for building inspection and building performance, as well as for quality control/quality assurance during construction management.  Finally, architects and designers will learn how to use the data for collaboration with their consultants and project partners.

Advocating for the Profession and Built Environment
3:15 – 5 p.m.

Please join us for the first 2017 AIA Colorado North Member Roundtable. Learn about and weigh-in on current policy issues which stand to affect the architectural profession and Colorado’s built environment. You will also have the opportunity to join a dialogue about challenges Northern Colorado Architects and architecture firms are facing and where we may have opportunities to solve problems or positively impact the future of the local built environment. Topics include a presentation on state and federal advocacy; a look at challenges firms are experiencing in Colorado and locally; AIA Colorado updates; and, a facilitated discussion among attendees.
