Take a look behind the scenes of submitting to the top architecture award program in Colorado—the AIA Colorado Design + Honor Awards.

About this Event

In preparation for the AIA Colorado Design + Honor Awards call for entries opening on May 5, this webinar will review the program, share information on the jury process and the components of successful submissions, and explore the benefits of having projects recognized for excellence in architectural design. The AIA Colorado Awards Committee will outline the eligibility and entry requirements and describe the award criteria. Recent award-winning projects will serve as case studies on how to effectively present projects for consideration by the awards jury and the value of design awards to their practices.

In this session, attendees will:

  • gain insight into how entries are evaluated by the jury and the established criteria for the different areas of award recognition;
  • understand the value of pursuing recognition for design excellence as a component of a firm’s business plan and an individual’s career map;
  • learn the eligibility and authorship requirements for participating in the awards program; and
  • recognize successful approaches for effectively telling project stories in words and images that focus on the award criteria.
