Energy Resource Center

The Energy Resource Center is committed to resource efficiency in the community. The 44,572 square foot facility earned an initial LEED-EB:O&M v2008 certification at the Certified level in 2009, then recertified in 2013 to achieve LEED-EB:O&M v2009 Gold Certification, and recertified in 2015 to achieve LEED-EB: O&M v4 Platinum Certification

UC Merced Kolligian Library

UC Merced Kolligian Library

UC Merced is the only American university with every building on campus being LEED certified. In parallel with this vision, the originally LEED-NC certified Leo and Dottie Kolligian Library achieved LEED-EB:O&M v2009 certification at the Gold level. The library improved operations, increased occupant comfort, and documented LEED master site credits.

Through active involvement from staff, students, and faculty during workshops and forums, the plan includes short- and long-term goals and performance benchmarks for improved efficiency in areas of food, transportation, energy, water, grounds, and academics.
