The Housing Knowledge Community recently planned a site visit to the Beloved Community Tiny Homes Village at the corner of 38th Avenue and Walnut Street in the RiNo Art District. The group of ten participants, organized by Matthew Krick, of Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects, toured the tiny homes village—the finished product of years of grassroots efforts to address societal causes of homelessness.

Cole Chandler, who guided the tour,Tiny Homes Village - homes 3 also identified important lessons learned, including the need for more storage in the units, improving mobility and managing the weight of the standing seam metal siding and roof. He stressed the importance of architect involvement in projects like these, as well as in zoning and urban planning decisions.
