Jviation is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated, detail-oriented Project Architect/Project Manager to join our Denver, CO office. The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience including Airport/Aviation architectural experience. They will have the opportunity to engage projects at all phases of design and construction. These include the design of new terminal complexes from conception through construction; renovation of existing terminal buildings; construction of new FBO hangar facilities; ARFF Stations and SRE/Maintenance facilities. This person will help clients identify and clarify their project, they will apply airport design expertise to the project, assist with forward thinking and problem solving and continue to win more work.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include meeting with clients for project goal development, establishing project parameters, designing and construction according to plans
  • Effectively demonstrate technical detailing and problem-solving skills on complex project types
  • Coordinate architecture/engineering work to ensure compliance with design concept
  • Work as a trusted extension of the client’s staff by building, developing and maintaining ongoing positive productive relationships
  • Prepare and coordinate proposals and contracts
  • Provide on-site project observations as required during design and construction
  • Ensure high quality deliverables that conform to project and/or client standards
  • Manage project fees to ensure profitability
  • Manage invoicing and timely collections per contractual agreement
  • Manage project schedule to ensure completion within allocated period of time including ensuring project needs are met by effectively managing project staff and resources

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in architecture
  • 10+ years of experience in the architectural and construction industry. Experience with airport/airfield projects preferred.
  • CO Architectural License
  • NCARB registration and ability to become licensed in other jurisdictions a plus
  • Comfortable with cost estimating
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting experience
  • AutoCAD and Revit proficiency preferred
  • Must be able to manage and produce documents on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Must be willing to travel
