Marisa Pooley, APR
As the marketing and communications manager, Marisa Pooley oversees all facets of marketing, communications and public relations for the statewide organization.
Previously, Marisa managed strategic communications for the Boettcher Foundation where she helped the $300 million-endowed foundation launch its first communications department in 75 years. She also has experience in the wine and tourism industries from her time as a public relations consultant for Montevibiano—the first zero-emissions vineyard—in Perugia, Italy.
In 2017, Marisa earned her Accreditation in Public Relations. She is one of less-than 90 in Colorado and 5,000 worldwide to hold this certification.
Marisa has served on a variety of boards and committees, including as a director on the PRSA Colorado Board; the media relations chair for the Lupus Foundation Colorado Walk to End Lupus; the at-large director for AIA Denver; a partner with Social Venture Partners; and a member of the 2015 Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s Impact Denver class.
A total foodie, Marisa loves cooking; exploring new restaurants, bars and breweries; and pretending she is a tourist in her own city. She also enjoys travel, Pilates and painting.
Arapahoe Acres. I am a sucker for mid-century modern architecture. I love walking my dog through the Arapahoe Acres neighborhood and longingly picking out my dream house.
The Godfather. I love drinking wine, making homemade pasta and watching The Godfather.
