About Embedded within the volcanic landscape of northern Iceland, the project seeks to reconnect bathing with the geological and atmospheric forces that make it possible. Rather than existing as an object placed on the land, the sauna is conceived as an extension of the terrain itself—shaped by the rhythms, materials, and thermal systems of the site. Heat extracted from the earth sustains both the bathing spaces and the greenhouse, allowing the architecture to participate in a larger geothermal cycle.
