About WeStreet Ice transforms a long-vacant Macy’s department store into a vibrant community hub centered on connection and sustainability. Innovative structural solutions, including inverted bow trusses, made it possible to preserve the entire building envelope and roof. This approach reduced construction costs, limited the need for new materials, and minimized the project’s environmental impact. By adaptively reusing a space once defined by retail, WeStreet Ice brings new energy and purpose to a previously overlooked part of the community.
