NEWS

One Week Until Keystone. There’s Still Time to Join Us.

The AIA Colorado Practice + Design Conference kicks off November 11! Join your architecture community November 11–13 in Keystone for “The Work of Tomorrow,” featuring inspiring keynotes, practical learning, and conversations with colleagues from across Colorado.

Earn up to 12 LU|HSW, with 14 total LUs submitted for approval, and explore new morning micro-sessions, Thursday Lunch & Learns, scheduled committee meetups, and a sold-out expo hall. AMP Media will also be onsite offering complimentary professional headshots.

2027 Call for Volunteers: share your expertise and shape the profession

AIA Colorado invites members to apply to serve on a committee, knowledge community, or local advisory council in 2027. Your experience, ideas, and relationships can help elevate the architecture profession to design a more equitable, sustainable, and beautiful Colorado.

Volunteering offers opportunities to exchange knowledge, build professional relationships, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the future of architecture. We welcome members across career stages, firm sizes, practice areas, geographic locations, and backgrounds.

Apply for 2027 service at aiacolorado.submittable.com. Applications close Friday, December 4, 2026. Explore the opportunities here.

2027 Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program

Build your skills and grow as a leader. Take the next step in your architecture career through the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program (CKLDP).

Each year, this competitive program brings together 16 emerging professionals for nine half-day sessions exploring entrepreneurship, firm management, collaboration, negotiation, client development, community leadership, and industry trends.

Learn alongside a dedicated cohort of peers while developing the skills and relationships to lead within your firm, your community, and the profession. The program welcomes emerging professionals who are not yet licensed or have been licensed for 10 years or less.

Applications for the 2027 class close Friday, December 4. Learn more about the program here. Apply for the 2027 class at aiacolorado.submittable.com.

2026 CKLDP: A Year of Learning and Leadership

Congratulations to the 2026 Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program scholars! Through eight sessions, this cohort of 16 emerging professionals explored the forces shaping architectural practice, from business and leadership to community impact and emerging technologies.

Along the way, scholars challenged assumptions, built relationships, and developed skills to lead within their firms and communities. Explore the year’s highlights and see how CKLDP is helping develop the next generation of leaders in architecture.

2027 Ascent Mentorship Program

Find guidance, share experience, and move forward together. Navigating the early years of an architecture career is easier with people you can turn to. AIA Colorado’s Ascend Mentorship Program connects emerging professionals with mid-career architects in locally organized groups to exchange perspectives, work through challenges, and build professional relationships.

For mentees, Ascend offers guidance on the transition from school to practice, workplace expectations, career paths, and setting meaningful goals.

For mentors, its a great opportunity to share what you have learned and support the next generation of architects.

Mentor and mentee applications for the 2027 program close Friday, December 4. Learn more about the program here. Apply for the 2027 class at aiacolorado.submittable.com.
